Running Hot 200 1983

On day 3 of cold snowy weather, my car ran really hot on the way to and home from work today: almost but not quite at the redline. All fluid levels are fine and there are no other symptoms to report. It's a sudden problem, with no sort of prior warning. Any thoughts?
