fuel rail leak 900

I have fuel leaking at front end of fuel rail, seems to be seeping from the end.
Local mechanic said it was common on this model and that there was a replacement fuel rail or part to fix the problem. I havn't seen much about fuel rail leaks on the board so it isn't something I would consider common in the 960. $300 seemed kind of stiff too! Is this truly a common problem, anyone else tackled this before?
