My 86 760 Ti, automatic, has been running great but leaking oil. I got some front seals, and removed the timing belt pulleys, etc. and replaced the seals. Put it all back together, and no start!

I disassembled the top half of the timing cover, rechecked the orientation of cam and crank timing marks, found the cam was off a few notches, so loosened the idler and reset the cam pully timing mark. Still no start.

I've used the checklists here to go through the no-start problems. I seem to have good spark, the fuel pumps are running, if I pull plugs after cranking a while there is plenty of gas on them, the tach bounces a little during cranking so the hall sensor seems like it's ok, I've checked timing while cranking it and the #1 plug fires at the timing mark on the crank pulley correctly. It seems like it has everything (fuel,spark) except air. I'm ready to have it towed to a mechanic to get it going again.

I examined the oil pressure sender line and sensor connection while I was mopping up the oil that had leaked all over. The fitting to the sensor looks solid. Can the oil sensor prevent starting?

Is there any way I could have reassembled the timing gears so out of wack that it won't start? I've changed timing belts on 3 volvos, about six times in all, so I pretty much know the drill.
