Windhield Wiper Intermittents Don't Work 200 1981

1981 242: Does anyone know if the windshield wiper system on this car has a relay hidden somewhere? I'm trying to figure out why the intermittents don't work, and I thought I'd look at the relay if there is one. The rest of the wiper settings do what they are supposed to do now. Cleaning the contacts under the cover where the plug is connected to the motor seems to have fixed their parking problem. They were parking in the middle of the windshield. Now they settle down nicely where they're supposed to. Any ideas would be helpful.

Thanks to everyone for the help, Doug C. 81 242 Brick Off Blocks, stock; 86 240, 129K, once in Rolling, now smashed quarter panel thanks to driver of an F150. Daughter safe in her Volvo.
