Gas Gauge 900

I have a 1993 940 Turbo and my level sensor needs to be replaced I think. My gas gauge works when it wants to. Can it be accessed through a hole in the floor, or do you have to drop the tank. Dealer is telling me its going to cost me $350.00 to fix this. Car runs fine, just the gage is messed up. Does anyone have a part number or web site to go too? Great Web Site BTW, Thanks
