This is a great site! Thanks all, for encouraging me to take plunge into Brickland. My problem is that I can't find any 940s currently available locally.
There are a couple 240s including one w/only 71000 miles (haven't seen it yet, though). A '93. I don't know what the minuses would be in getting one like this, instead of waiting who-knows-how-long for a 940 to appear. The 240 wagons seem to have the exact same engine, no turbo, fuel injected. I actually would prefer a manual trans. It is about $3000 less as an initial investment, that leaves some bucks for the repairs. But I'm not enough familiar with all these models yet. Post some minuses for me, please, I need a little help with restraint, here. -- Larry
