In Series Radiators 200

I was thinking of adding an aftermarket supplemental radiator to my stick shift. It would only be a preventive measure (I used to own GM cars which always overheated no matter what) to save the engine. Other than throwing away $100 and a couple of hours of time, are there any disadvantages? Like can a cooling system cool an engine too much? Thanks!
