Well this was an interesting morning, unlike most. At the crest of a hill I let off the gas and my 90' 740 continued to travel right along. I checked my cruise and it was off. So I put it into neutral and sure enough my rpm's read 3000. So for some reason I punched the gas assuming it might "unstick" it. Nope it put it up to 5000 rpm's and stayed there. I coasted to the side of the road and turned it off. Then I immediately re-started it and all was well. I checked the cable at the throttle and all seemed well. Any suggestions? It was very cold this morning, about 10 degrees. Not sure if that could effect it but i thought I would mention it. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. I hate to just do nothing because my wife also drives it and it would surely freak her out.
