I just finished replacing the OD solenoid on my just purchased 1992 DL wagon. My mechanic didn't want to change the solenoid and the cheapest price I could get it done for was $250. Since I wasn't sure the solenoid was the problem, I ordered a used one for $50 and, thanks to advice from this site, changed it tonight in about one hour. It sure felt good taking the car out afterwards and feeling it kick into overdrive. I was really concerned it was the tranny.
Now I'm even considering changing the timing belt when it's do in 3,000 miles. Thanks again!
