How do I remove plastic caps from fuel injectors on Lh2.0 200 1984

I am replacing the Injector O rings and need to know a good way to remove the plastic caps from the Injector without damaging the Injector tips....
The Engine is a B23F with LH2.0 jetronics
Any advise would be good....
