Air in Brake Lines 900 1993

I just had my Brake hoses replaced in the front both sides by a mechanic and now my brake pedal goes almost to the floor. He told me to bring it back in and he'd fix it. I worried why he didn't fix it the first time and when I picked it up he said he tried to get all the air out, which makes me think he doesn't know what he was doing. Any advice if I take it back to him? Thanks
