I finally fixed my OD, Yippee!!!!! 700 1987

Well the weather was warmer over the weekend so I attacked it again.

History: Fuse blowing, I rewired. No OD. New Relay. Nope. Flushed. Nope. Checked Solenoid, it activated, replaced O rings, nope. Drove without for awhile.

While at a junkyard, I decided to do some field surgery and attempt removal of a solenoid. I accomplished this. Make you appreciate your garage. Anyway, I lot of fluid came out of the junker and it didn't come out of mine. Hummm?

So Sunday I put her up on the ramps, removed the solenoid and ran very briefly and flushed out a bit of fluid. Cleaned up and went to reinstall the solenoid and promptly lost the smaller O ring. @#$%^&*. I wanted to get this running so I ran to Lowes for some bandaid O rings from the plumbing dept. It worked!!!!!!!!

Went to the Volvo dealer and got the real O rings. Installed yesterday. Here's a tip, High Mileage Club, $9.20 for 2 without, $4.90 with. If you aren't a member sign up. I buy only what I have to from the dealership but the discount really helps when I do.
