Upgrading from solid to vented rotors?? 200 1983

Is it worth the expense, work, etc to replace a good working set of Girling front calipers with solid rotors & new PBR pads,too (240,000 miles) with a good used set of Girling calipers plus new vented rotors? cost will be about $50 for calipers and $75 for the rotors. Worth it?
