Boge Turbo Gas or Bilstein Touring Class? 700 1988

I have quite a bit of dive under braking and the car, while tracking dead straight, bobs & wallows on it's suspension. I'm considering new shocks and strut inserts and would like opinions.

I've talked to user's of the Boge Turbo Gas and Bilstein HD but not the Bilstein Touring Class. I'm ruling out the Bilstein HD on price and ride. Don't want something as firm as I'm hearing they are. Anyone try the Touring Class?

I can bounce on the front fenders and the struts recoil, dip and damp out the bounce so they don't seem completely worn but they're soft. Also, there's a noticeable clunk when I push down on the fender. With the hood open if I hold the upper strut mount and bushing while pushing down on the fender I feel it move and a clunk.

Nothing like sorting out a 15-year-old car!

Thanks,
