I had some Bilstein HD struts installed on my 1993 960 sedan at a local garage. I have a couple of queries/problems. Firstly , I had purchased some spacers, which were supposed to go into the strut housing before the strut goes in, The garage told me the when they put the spacer in the threads on the retaining nut would not even reach the housing , so they left the spacers out?? Secondly and more importantly the springs are now binding and do not rotate freely. I have installed new strut mounts and bearinigs. On one side I have an original mount and on the other an aftermarket and both experience the same binding problem. What can be wrong???
