164 windshield :Removal and Replacement 140-160

This is an excellent site for 164 info. Heres my question.....Ihave a 74 164 with a cracked windshield. I have a 75 164 that has a good windshild...would it be a direct swap or are they slightly different? also...I have a T-type tool for removal but have never attempted this operation.What are the pitfalls ie. cracking on installation or removal? Is this job better left to the pro's.?
