Missing at idle and part throttle

My B230F with lh jet and ezk ignition is missing at idle and upon acceleration. Higher rpms and everything is ok. I checked the obd and the FI says I have a rich or lean condition at idle. I've had this for quite a long time now. I was really interested in the ezk ignition code which was clear. I have a new dist rotor and cap but I can't find any record nor do I remember replacing the plug wires. This car is a 92 with 172,000 miles now.

Where should I be looking? The last time I had a car with a bad wire it missed at all speeds. I did notice that the plug boots are very loose.

What are the symptoms of a crank position sensor going bad? I can see that it is filthy in that area.
