B30F with carbs running a wee bit lean 140-160

I've got the car running okay but for one minor problem --
it seems to take a lot longer to warm up and even after there
is a bit of a lean bog that I had straightened out before.

Would it make sense that with the same cam but larger valves
the car would run leaner or should I suspect something else?
I've sprayed around with carb cleaner and now have a spotless
motor but I couldn't find any intake leaks. I'll try again
with the valves more sane but still, I don't think I have
an air leak. I did take out the secondary butterflys in
the manifold when the manifold was out, if that matters.

I might just try stretching the springs I've got (they're
already somewhat mangled but they at least match mostly) and
buy the next stiffer set if that fixes things.
