Maintenance:: Q#1: solvent to clean flame arrestor Q#2: preferred air filter 200 1993

Two questions, folks:

1. What kind of solvent should I use to clean the flame arrestor when doing PCV check, or should I just replace it? (kinda cheap, anyway...)

2. Which name brand air filter is preferred by Bricksters?
