Clicking Fan Motor under the Dash 900 1993

I have a '93 960 that has been a great car for me thus far. But recently I have noticed the Fan blower under the passenger side making a clicking noise. I have removed the protective grill and reached past the flap to see is any trash was causing the noise. Found nothing. The clicking is sometime loud, sometimes soft, and even seems that is comes through the center vents.

Does anyone have any ideas? How often to these fans go bad? If it is not going to hurt the system I guess I will live with it like the A/C accleration issue. Something about not having a car payment makes these little quirks livable.
