ok, this is getting bizarre. 200

Hi all, 81 240 with a weird past....
It has taken to not starting totally randomly, sounds like it will, just wont. Runs fine for a week or so, then decides not to start.
The last time i asked ya'll about this, i said "My car is starting!
I have to admit i'm not really sure why.
I took apart the fuel system, cleaned everything, blew out all the lines, replaced the filters etc. Nothing looked damaged, nothing looked clogged.
But when i got it back together, it starts quite nicely.
So i never figured out WHY it failed, or what fixed it. but it runs. weird :)"
I have at this point determined that i can do ANYTHING to it and it will start again. one time i cleaned the terminals and charged the battery (which didnt need it) and it started. The other day i replaced the spark plugs (which were fine) and it started.I have taken to picking a random thing to do to it, and it will start again. WTF??? This is just getting bizarre. If i dont do SOMETHING to it, it wont start. When it starts and runs it runs beautifully. When it starts after a bout of not starting, theres no smoke or hesitation or anything, it just kinda says "oh, you wanted me to START!" and does.
What am i possibly missing? all the wires are in place, all the nuts i can reach are tight, the injectors are injecting, the gas comes in, the spark goes in, it cranks over rapidly and happily. it just sometimes dont care to start. Any guesses?
As always, thanks for any input :)
Delphine
