How can I be sure that my front control arm bushing is shot? 200 1989

240 DL sedan 1989 B230F 150K miles

I recently posted about a new loud clunk that is very apparent on my front driver's side suspension, especially as slow speed.

After explaining the symptoms and the fact that I recently replaced the tie rod ends and inspected the inner tie rods (steering no play) and that my lower ball joints were replaced last fall, I have the infamous control arm bushing problem.
Shaking the top of the shock tower (via spring) by hand revieled no play either.

I would like to get this done soon. Yes I always do all work myself. Before ordering and getting the bushings shipped, is there any way I can assure that this is indeed the source of my clunk? No I have nothing to indicate otherwise, just looking for some sort of diagnostic...

Regards,
