'Notchy' aceleration.... 900

91 turbo wagon....130k...new turbo...mobil 1 0w40...new sparks, just dumped a tankfull of injector cleaner... set to 7.5 psi boost...m46...recently replaced exhaust seals...

Problem when 'booted' (suitably warmed up) there a re a couple of definate 'notchs' in the acceleration, almost like the engine looses a smide of power , then takes off again...feels almost like something else kicking in - i know the engine doesnt have it but could be like a second butterfly valve opening....

Jobs I havent done:-

engine mounts...they seem ok ...but
throtle body cleaning....
clean dizzy...
new spark cables (gen. volvo ones on and they dont look too new..)
fuel filter (dont know how long its been on)
FRP...no idea...

It has become noticable after the new turbo, more noticable with the new plugs/injector cleaner....

the car has been breathing oil for a while from the shot turbo...not smoking but the old plugs were well gunked up...

anyone got any ideas on what this is, or the right approach....
