Donor Car Questions 200 1986

My husband was recently offered an 1983 240 Wagon to use as parts for 150.00. The title "questionable" (I can't elaborate, I don't know), the car has been garaged and has not been drained. What's the possibility of the tranny, auto (has been assured "It's good") work for an '86? How much damage has been done to the car if it's been sitting for about a year and hasn't been drained? If it's good we could strip some great parts off it, but, title aside, would it be worth it?
