I have an 89 760 turbo wagon, and recently replaced the fuel sender, c/w in-tank pump. This cylindrical device works, but I am not convinced that I have lined up the unit properly. It should not take a 10 or 15 minute drive over a fairly rough road to send the needle to the full mark.
Any suggestions as to what might be wrong here? I noticed that the internal cylinder was below a retaining tab on the outer cylinder, and I thought that moving the inner above the tab would make things work just fine. Is that my mistake?
Your suggestions are much appreciated!
