OK, here goes, I have a '94 945T (175k) with lots of power and pickup. I have a '91 940T (160k) that accelerates slower than a sick cow. I've checked the intake hoses along with the various vacuum hoses & bellows and they are all OK. Plugs are OK, timing belt is good. Oil in the intercooler and on the bottom of the turbo. Boost gauge reads lower than the 945's in full boost although I know I need to get a graduated gauge (I'll do that tomorrow). Could I have a blocked exhaust (cat)? System is old and starting to rust through the mufflers. Could it be a tranny slippage problem (it doesn't sound like it)? Or is the turbo suspect? Could a dead fuel pump create this scenario? FPR? TB is clean, recent tune-up but it was like this before the tune-up.
