1969 164 wire harness in 68 145? 140-160 1969

I just met a very early 164 in a salvage yard. It was butterscotch
with an auto. The interior was missing but the frame was in nice
shape. Overall, I'm sad I didn't meet it when it was on the road as
I would have purchased it even with the mismatched hood and trunk.

Anyhow, it had the early rubber style windscreen gasket complete
with the aluminum trim pieces. I needed them so I grabbed them.

To get on with it -- it had an almost completely unmolested wire
harness. My 68 145 has a very molested wire harness; perhaps it
was owned by a blind electrician? Anyhow, I want to completely
rewire this puppy. Can I use the 164 wire harness pretty much as
is or will it need modification?

Also I didn't get a chance to label things as I pulled them off.
I figure I've got an unmolested 1970 164 as a reference, but that's
assuming that the wire colors and numbers and locations are the same
from 69 to 70 in 164s.

So, did I make a big mistake in yanking this harness?
chris
