Thanks to all for the help with the 4 speed lock-out questions- the diagram helped too. Now, I ended up buying this car from the guy who couldn't get it into reverse. I don't have that problem- it works great for me! But, like many with the non OD manual 4 speed, I long for the lower rpms and highway friendliness of the 5th gear.

Will the M47 work with my earlier engine, or will I have to find an M46?? The engine is the B21F and I've got an M45 4-speed no O/D.
