Power antennae 700 1987

The power antennae on my 87 wagon is giving me fits. I recently replaced the mast and everything was working fine for a month or so. Then, the antennae quit working. I unhooked the wires and checked the motor and it works fine (antennae goes up and down) but when reconnected won't work with the radio? ANy suggestions?
