Rear Wheel Bearings 200 1983

Fellow Bricksters:
How do I check for worn out rear wheel bearings? I've been hearing this faint clunk emanating from the left side rear wheel (on take off, slowing down to a stop, and sometimes on turns) and it seems like it is either getting worse, or my hearing is getting better. Anyway, all rear bushings and shocks have been replaced about a few months ago so, I don't think one of the bushings is the culprit. I check and torqued the shock mounting hardwares including the one inboard of the frame. Just for the heck of it, I also switch (sides) the torque rods to check if the noise goes to the other side. Nope! How about if I turn the track rod? Is that possible? Help me out fellas. And thanks in advance. I know somebody lurking out there can help me out.
Denny
