Well my '68 wagon has the IMHO useless two line system that seperates the front from the back, and can still result in almost complete brake failure if you blow a front line. With my old 2 dr I just made sure everything was A1 all round and it was fine. This time I would like to put a true 2 line system from the late 120 or even the 1800 (ES). I don't want to deal with rear disk conversion, I'm more interested in which cars I can scavange from to get front calipers that take 2 lines each, and whether the later MC will work with my rear drums, if I leave the old pressure thingys in there. And I suppose I would need another pressure thingy for the 2nd line.
Any explanations of how the 2 line system was set up in the later cars would be appreciated. Is there a single line going to the rear that's controled by one side of the MC? Of more likly each side of the MC controls one of the rear slaves. Is it possible to just use one side on the rear even though it was set up for both?

p.s. I have a line on a bunch of late60s early 70's volvo stuff and that's why I'm even considering the conversion (next winter).
