Hi all

This may sound like a dumb question-but when switching on my "j" type overdrive, is it best to depress the clutch before flicking the switch-or can I just turn it on while accelerating in fourth gear? Just curious because it jerks the drivetrain quite a bit when I just switch while accelerating.
