I have an 82 242turbo. Lately, this is happening: It starts right up first thing in the morning. After driving, if I turn off the ignition, and then try to start it up, it starts right up. However, if the car sits for a while, then it is really hard to start. The engine rotates, but won't fire. It takes 5 or so trys, and then it will finally start, but it begins to feel like the battery is about to go dead. It feels like the fuel just isn't getting through.
This has happened after the car has sat anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours.
To make it a little more complicated, one morning several days ago, the engine didn't even rotate first thing in the morning. It felt like the battery was dead. This is the first and only time that has happened. That evening, I tried it again, and it started right up.
Any ideas? Thanks.
