My son and I are looking at a 1980 242 DL, off-white color, 187k on the odometer, straight body, some rust on the rear face of the trunk to the left of the license plate, four speed without OD, no AC, no power steering, good original paint that needs a detail job, filthy under the hood, original steel wheels with original hubcaps, K-Jet, pretty good interior, one plastic door pocket broken one missing, dash in great shape, left tail light assembly broken, driver's door doesn't close crisply. I haven't driven it yet, but I listened to it and it sounds OK. I'm just looking for ideas about what to look for on this model, specific problem areas, etc., and possibly a value range. I think these people are the second owners.
