Will a B23 Bosh Distributer cap and Rotar work on a B16 444-544 1961

61 pv544 with B16B engine........
I recently ordered a distributer cap and rotar for my B16B from Sweedish Classics.... The Cap and Rotar I received is the same as the B23 uses.
The cap looks identical except for the half quarter notch on the side of the
cap and the rotar is completely different looking.......
I installed the cap and rotar they seam to fit fine and the car starts and runs
what I think is fine(No experience with B16 engines)....
What I need to know is this OK to do, or will I eventualy cause engine damage...
