Shot Transmission - Rusted, etc. 200

Previously I had a leaky radiator. I replaced the radiator, but unfortunately water went into the transmission and rusted it out. I am going to put a used transmission in my car ($350.00). Is this reasonable. Also my water pump is bad. I can't complain, still no car payments.
