Radiator and tranny 700 1986

Dad's 740 wagon tranny oil cooler ruptured and his local Volvo mechanic says he will rebuild trans and replace radiator,repair a few minor problems and it'll put car back in top shape. For $3,000. This sounds a "little high" to me. Can anyone give me an idea on the price of a rebuilt trans and a new radiator? This car has 177K on it,runs great but is not in mint condition. Thanks.
