Kickdown Cable 900

I just bought a second '93 945T. The car is fantastic -- just like the first one. But the transmission needed some adjustment (it didn't want to "kickdown") I read the FAQ and tigheted the cable. I got the desired affect, but there is slack in the cable at idle. Is this OK?
