rear jack points... do you use them with jack stands? 700 1988

Gang, I'm going to swap out my rear end tomorrow in my 88 740 GLE. I found a donor from a 91 740 that will fit.

I need to jack the rear of the car up without placing weight on the rear trailing arms or the axle tubes... this leaves me with the rear jack points which look like they were specifically designed for that mickey mouse jack that came with the car....


My question to you is, will these "jack points" be able to support my car with jack stands under them?

Where do you usually put the jack stands?

What about up front? WHere would you jack up the car?

I'd really appreciate your advice.
