940 shudders at idle 900 1991

Hello all,

My 91 940GL with B230f and AW71 trans shudders a bit while idling (say at traffic lights) while in Drive. When the shifter is moved to Neutral the shuddering disappears. Initially I thought it was idle speed but there appears to be very little difference in this when the shifter is moved. Also the shift lever moves a little bit when accelerating and decelerating. Would these two problems be related? could it be the transmission mount? Any thoughts are always appreciated.
