whats goin on with my 240? 200 1989

MY 89 240 dl is actin pretty weird. I'm in columbus, Oh, and anyone from the area knows we've been getting lots of rain. Whenever i drive the car with lots of humidity and cold temps, the car shudders and feels like its gonna stall @ red lights. THe volt gauge shows it just redlining, and a few times it has. THen, when i pull out, i get this loud squealing that cuts out between 20-30 mph. Anyone ever have this problem? any help is appreciated.
