Vitol 7mm Rear Crankshaft Main Seal 700

I replaced the rear crankshaft main seal today and was able to push it in with my fingers! I would have liked it to go in a little harder. I did grease it up good before pushing it in place, but still, wouldn't you think I would have had to drive it in with a few taps of a rubber mallet and driver? Thanks.
