I have read here and in other places as well as talking to other Old Brick drivers that they have been using all all sorts of different lube products in their trannies and overdrive units .... all with good results .... I currently run Type F ATF in my M41 and J type OD .... I had been led to believe that this is what was recommended by Volvo Lo these many years ago. I have since heard of people using everything from hypoid to SAE30W oil and having no problems at all. OK oh great Wizards of VOLVO .... What's the scoop ? Have I been wasting my time with the ATF ?
