door lock cylinder question 700 1989

hi
i checked the 700/900 faq, and they only talked about the door lock switch, not the lock cylinder. trying to take it off as the drivers door doesn't work, but the passenger does, and it is a hassel to walk all around and back (okay, not that much of a hassel, but i'm lazy and it looks stupid). anyone got any pointers on how to get these puppies out? i took off the plastic window guard, but now i'm stuck. my next idea (brute force) will probably brake it.
