Weatherstripping Problem on Windows. 200 1981

1981 242: My weatherstripping that runs along the bottom of the window openings is shot. It's the strip that runs along the driver's and passenger's window openings, where people tend to rest an elbow when driving with the windows open. The outer piece, the one that attaches to the exterior chrome trim piece is all broken up and ugly. The dealer says this piece is no longer available. Most junkyard pieces are probably as bad as mine. Does anybody know a fix for this problem, or where to get the parts. Thanks in advance.
