overheating & Tach install 200

I installed a tach yesterday and ever since it seems that it's running hot (the gage indicates anyway). It doesnt seem to be actually running any hotter just that the guage is climbing up into the red.

There are two spots that I can hook the tach wire to, which one do I hook it to or does it matter? Would this cause the temp gage to fluxuate?

Michael
