I passed emissions by retarding the timing ... I went to readjust the timing and all heck has broken loose.

I can't seem to get the idle speed adjusted... before I start checking every elctronic item... what are the KISS (keep it simple stupid) items I should solve first. Consider you are dealing with a greenhorn, that way I won't overlook anything.
