Hello Me again, today it was very hot about 98 degrees and while I was driving along this winding road I could feel a decrease in power, as I was applying acceleration to the engine I could feel myself slowing down instead of speeding up. After a few seconds the car proceeded to move but it was kind of sluggish.
As the heat of the day continued, the car continued to be sluggish. I went to a nearby Jiffy Lube and asked to check the Transmission fluid, he says it was brownish and needed to be changed, but it was at the proper level. I got home and parked it awhile and then drove it around the block, while pulling out of the parking space, I noticed it still was kinda sluggish. I really hope to God I'm not looking at a new transmission. Could it be that the fluid needs changing? I drove it down from New Jersey with no problems, but it was not hot as today, about 82 degrees plus it was on the road where it would have operated at a lower temperture. I had planned to take it to the shop an d have the trans flushed and replace with synthetic fluid, but this is scaring me. HELP!
