Water pump metal pipe 86 7 40 B230F 700

You know that pipe that comes out of the water pump and runs along the left side of the B230F block? Where does that end up? Just did my water pump and all is fine, I am wordering if that metal pipe plugs into the block somewhere where another O-ring may be lurking that may need to be replaced at some point.
