B21 Engine - Used - How much??? 200 1980

Hello all,

I recently bought a 1980 244 DL for a little over $200. The interior is great, and the body is solid. However, it does not currently run. It will start up, runs for ~ 30 seconds, and then dies amidst the sound of clanging metal.

I am spending today evaluating the engine. If it is something major, what should I expect to pay for a rebuild or a used engine? I don't know if there is regional variability in the prices of these things, but if so, I am in Ann Arbor, MI (Go Blue!!).
